Our Commitment

FYSH is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, including users with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across all public-facing pages.

What We Have Done

• Semantic HTML5 markup with appropriate landmark regions (main, nav, header, footer)
• All form fields carry visible labels and ARIA descriptions where needed
• Interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with visible focus states
• Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements for all body text
• All images carry appropriate alt attributes; decorative images use empty alt
• Pages carry a skip-to-content link for keyboard users
• The site is usable at 200% text zoom without loss of content or functionality
• No content flashes more than three times per second

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

• Interactive map (property search) — the Leaflet-based map is partially accessible for keyboard users but may not meet full WCAG 2.1 AA criteria for complex interactions. A list-based alternative is available on the same page.
• Property image uploads — the drag-and-drop photo upload interface requires a mouse; a standard file input fallback is provided for keyboard users.
• PDF documents — where property floor plan PDFs are uploaded by vendors, their accessibility cannot be guaranteed as they are user-supplied content.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) or the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI) if you live in Northern Ireland.
