Vendor guide · England & Wales

Handling expressions
of interest.

When a buyer registers interest in your home you stay in control. This guide walks through what happens, how you use purchased credits to open a buyer message, and how to respond, share your address and move towards a sale.

Step 1

What an expression of interest is

A registered buyer telling you they are serious about your home.

An expression of interest carries the buyer's message to you and confirms they hold an account on FYSH, so you are responding to a real person rather than an anonymous enquiry. Until you choose to proceed, your exact address stays private and the buyer sees only an approximate location.

Step 2

You are notified

Interest reaches you by email and in your workbench.

As soon as a buyer registers their interest you are notified by email, and it appears in your vendor workbench. There is no time pressure. You decide if and when to look, and nothing is shared with the buyer until you act.

Step 3

Opening a buyer message

You use purchased credits to open buyer messages.

Opening a message spends one credit and unlocks the full enquiry and a private conversation with that buyer, kept entirely within FYSH. You only ever spend a credit on a buyer you choose to open, so you are never charged for interest you do not act on. Top up credits from the Credits area of your workbench, where the cost is always shown before you confirm. Read more on the credits page.

Step 4

Responding and your address

Reply, ask questions and decide what to share.

Once a message is open you can reply directly, ask questions, and decide whether to share your full address and arrange a viewing. All of this happens through FYSH, so your personal contact details stay private unless you choose to share them. You are never obliged to respond to every enquiry.

Step 5

Declining or holding off

There is no obligation to open or reply.

If an enquiry is not right for you, simply leave it. Declining costs nothing, no credit is spent, and a buyer is never told why you did not proceed.

Step 6

Moving to an offer

Turn a promising conversation into a structured deal.

When a conversation is ready to become a deal, start the Private Offer Tracker, a private and structured exchange that records every offer and counter offer in an encrypted, timestamped audit trail. It keeps the conversation clear and in good faith on both sides, right through to an agreed price. Read more on the Private Offer Tracker page.
